The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the higher quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services place created for intervention encounters a significant inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to allow the servicing of all buyers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency website said.
